Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ED)

About the Role

The Registered Nurse in the emergency department provides leadership within the healthcare team by establishing personalized relationships with patients and their support systems. They collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health or support a peaceful death. The nurse utilizes evidence-based practices and compassion to guide patients through their health journey, taking responsibility, authority, and accountability for care management in accordance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop personalized care plans for emergency and critical care patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize scientific evidence and compassionate communication to support patients.
• Manage and deliver care according to current policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must have emergency department or critical care experience.
• Additional certification or refresher courses may be required for inactive licenses.
