About the Role
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the department’s specific requirements and aligned with state and specialty scope and standards. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers while modeling the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after interventions.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs proactively.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, patient status, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects using clear, non-technical language.
- Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
