About the role
The Registered Nurse at HCA HealthONE Aurora coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Responsibilities
- Achieves patient pain management through regular assessments and interventions.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed by medical providers.
- Documents care in the patient medical record accurately and promptly.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, explaining medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
- Teaches patients and families about non-medicinal aspects of their care, such as lifestyle changes and disease prevention.
- Prepares patients and families for self-management of their health.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or multistate license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- One to two years of acute care RN experience preferred.
