About the role

The Registered Nurse at HCA HealthONE Aurora coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

Responsibilities

• Achieves patient pain management through regular assessments and interventions.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed by medical providers.
• Documents care in the patient medical record accurately and promptly.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, explaining medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
• Teaches patients and families about non-medicinal aspects of their care, such as lifestyle changes and disease prevention.
• Prepares patients and families for self-management of their health.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 60 months of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or multistate license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• One to two years of acute care RN experience preferred.

$36.68 - $55.53 per hour
