About the Role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service. This role requires proficiency and mastery of core competencies, including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service.

Qualifications

• Degrees: Associates or Bachelors in Nursing
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
• Additional Qualifications:
  • RNs hired prior to specific dates (varies by location) are not required to have a BSN for non-leadership roles.
  • RNs hired after specific dates with an Associate's degree must complete a BSN within 3 years of hire.
  • Completion of a preceptor class within 12 months of being deemed competent for independent practice.
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card may be required as per department standards.

Experience

• Minimum Required Experience: 1 year of acute Emergency Room experience
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $40.03 to $50.14 / hour depending on experience.
