REGISTERED NURSE, Emergency Dept @ the NW McCarran FED, Full Time Nights **$10,000 SIGN ON**
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
Able to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients. Accurately assigns triage categories.
Able to monitor hemodynamic status of patient and correctly interpret the results.
Able to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
About the Role
ER at NW McCarran provides 24/7 emergency care in a convenient setting. As a full-service emergency room, the facility is capable of treating life-threatening injuries as well as less urgent issues. The facility delivers the same high-quality care as our hospital ER.
Responsibilities
As a full-time registered nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
Current NV RN License
Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR Two to three years critical Care Exp OR extensive EMS background experience
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Qualifications
Current RN License
Two to three years experience in emergency department preferred
Two to three years critical care experience
Extensive experience in EMS
Skills
