Registered Nurse - Emergency Department, PRN, Night Shifts

About the role

Provide independent nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Deliver patient-centered, age-appropriate interventions, especially in critical and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, triage, and care planning for patients
• Implement and evaluate patient care interventions
• Oversee and direct support staff
• Identify educational needs for staff and patients
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Document care accurately and timely
• Serve as a preceptor, mentor, or relief charge nurse as needed

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Active RN licensure in Georgia
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and initiative skills
• Ability to manage stress and handle emergencies independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital setting
• Previous PRN work experience
