Registered Nurse - Emergency Department- Nights-Full Time

About the Role

This job is considered a leader in the provision of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. You will effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes. The role involves exhibiting sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions and maintaining involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and department strategic goals and objectives. You will demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for your own practice and support the company's philosophy of nursing.

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.

Education:

• Required: Registered nurse diploma.
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.

Work Experience:

• Preferred: Experience in a clinical specialty area.

Certifications:

• Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.

Skills

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to be self-directed.
• Good judgment and interpersonal skills.

• Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and group needs.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly; serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and improvement in the nursing profession.
• Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements applicable to the assigned area and ensure compliance.
