About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills, providing effective direct care, and coordinating patient care/unit activities.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards.
• Performs comprehensive data collection and assessment, recognizing clinical and diagnostic status changes.
• Develops and coordinates a plan of care that addresses patient needs and educates families.
• Communicates and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals and supports patient transitions.
• Administers medications using advanced technologies and documents care accurately.
• Evaluates patient progress and initiates interventions as necessary.
• Adapts to changing patient needs and maintains a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma of Nursing.
• BSN in progress and willing to obtain within three years of hire.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Relevant nursing experience or participation in HMH's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to patient needs, and demonstrate strong teamwork and patient focus.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Pay
