Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - F/T Days

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse range of patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Achieve desired outcomes through comprehensive patient assessment and development of personalized care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications accurately using state-of-the-art technology to minimize errors.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to address changes in condition.
• Adapt to new challenges and continuously improve patient care practices.
• Ensure patient and family education is provided in a clear and understandable manner.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest nursing practices and technologies.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing (DN).
• BSN in progress and willing to complete within three years of hire.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license at the assigned HMH location.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum six months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with a commitment to patient-centered care.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.
