Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Evenings

About the role

Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department in accordance with state laws and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and recognize changes in status
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff
• Collaborate with team members to meet unit goals
• Employ critical thinking in clinical decision-making
• Document observations and interventions accurately
• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
• Function effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing (or obtain within five years if holding an associate degree)
• Current Illinois RN license
• CPR certification
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications within three months of employment
