Registered Nurse - Emergency Department-Day/Evening

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides patient care in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures. The RN works both day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient progress and medical history accurately.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current New York State RN license.
• At least one year of acute care nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in computer systems and documentation software.
