Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About the Role

Responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced, technical environment. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety and therapeutic environments. Supervises and communicates effectively with team members, patients, and families, promoting a collaborative and respectful atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and build relationships to foster teamwork
• Ensure accurate, timely patient documentation and safe medication administration
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment and support patient education
• Take accountability for personal performance and professional growth
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver quality care throughout patient episodes
• Engage in continuous improvement and perform other assigned duties
• Maintain accurate documentation and administer medications and IV therapies safely

Requirements & Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current Texas nursing license and Basic Life Support certification
• Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards
• Ability to handle confidential information and work in a demanding environment
