Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department at Bethesda North Hospital provides high-acuity, fast-paced care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent conditions. As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct and indirect holistic care, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and support patients and families through critical moments.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient and family assessments; document per TriHealth standards.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care.
• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care while maintaining dignity and autonomy.
• Recognize and respond to emergency and rapidly changing clinical situations.
• Communicate effectively with providers and the care team.
• Complete all assigned patient care and documentation within required timeframes.
• Serve as a resource by sharing clinical knowledge and assisting with staff development.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers.
• Strong foundation in biological, physical, behavioral, and social nursing sciences.

Qualifications

• More than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience.
• Membership in related professional organizations.
• Specialty certification (e.g., CEN, TNCC).

Skills

Required: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, BSN within 5 years of hire, Active Registered Nurse license, BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers, Strong foundation in biological, physical, behavioral, and social nursing sciences.

Hourly Pay Based on Previous RN Experience

FTE: Full-Time - 36 Hours Weekly
Shift: Days - 7:00am-7:00pm
