Department Overview

The emergency department is a Level II Trauma, Level I Stroke, and STEMI center, with a 63-bed unit treating adult and pediatric patients across varying acuity levels. The team emphasizes teamwork, learning, and collaboration with ED physicians. An upcoming expansion aims to increase capacity and improve patient care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care
• Evaluate care effectiveness
• Coordinate with other departments
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality
• Maintain professional accountability

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Missouri RN license or equivalent
• BLS certification
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Proficiency in standing, walking, and performing physical tasks
