Registered Nurse- Emergency Department (36hrs./wk. Full-Time Benefits Days- Plymouth

Location: Henry Ford Medical Center–Plymouth, 40777 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

Schedule

• Full-time, benefit-eligible
• 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

About the Role

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health-care team. Participates in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of those solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, delegate, and supervise patient care using the nursing process
• Document care and patient/family teaching
• Communicate patient and family information to the health-care team
• Identify and resolve variances from patient goals

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
• Health-care provider certification (BCLS)
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Minimum of 1+ years RN experience in Emergency or ICU setting
