Job Summary
About the role
Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients, develops a plan of care, implements the plan and evaluates the plan of care.
- Ensures patient safety through competency and growth of self and others.
- Collaborates with other health professionals to meet healthcare needs.
- Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
- Uses appropriate community resources and systems to implement the plan.
- Develops expected outcomes that provide direction for continuity of care.
- Coordinates multidisciplinary care of the stroke patient.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred)
- 1 Or More Years Nursing Experience (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Crisis Response Training (CPI), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Georgia Stroke Core Curriculum (GSCC) within 180 days (Required)
Qualifications
