Registered Nurse - Emergency

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act. Position located in the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing
• Current Pennsylvania licensure (other state licensure as required)
• One year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience OR two years of telemetry nursing experience
• Will consider three years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within the 6‑month introductory period
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within one year of start date
• Successful completion of applicable clearances per Human Resources policy HR‑106 within 90 days of commencing employment

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing
• Preferred: Two years of acute care nursing experience
• Preferred: Two years of Emergency Department experience
• Preferred: Certification in ED specialty area
• In the absence of qualified candidates, will consider applicants with: Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (applicable training and orientation will be provided)

Schedule

Three (3) 12‑hour shifts per week (7P‑7A), every other weekend and holidays as required, for a total of 72 hours per pay period (36 hours per week).
