About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology Cath Lab, your voice influences patient care through open, collaborative relationships with your manager and formal opportunities via hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra, and post-procedure.
- Assist physicians in operative procedures.
- Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse (or appropriate compact licensure; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if compact license held).
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
