About the role

Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their familiesCandidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
  • Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
  • Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Develop educational opportunities, introduce new technologies, processes and procedures utilizing evidence-based practice
  • Organize, present, and monitor yearly clinical competencies
  • Audit, develop compliance strategies for and report on quality metrics
  • Aid in providing a stellar orientation program for all new hires, including the AHS ED Residency Program

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Experience: 2 - 3 years of ED Experience or Acute Care Experience
  • BLS required
  • ACLs will be required prior to completing ED orientation
  • PALS to be completed within one year of hire date except for pediatrics

Qualifications

  • Licenses: Valid NJ RN license or compact license
  • Specialty knowledge, skills, and abilities may be required based on department/specialty group assigned

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patient and compassionate nature
  • Ability to operate as part of a team
  • Proficiency in computer -based data management programs and information systems
