Role Overview
Provide urgent emergency care as a registered nurse in a hospital's Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing based on severity.
- Administer medications, start IVs, perform wound care, and assist with life-saving procedures like CPR.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and communicate critical updates to the medical team.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions, offering reassurance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multi-state license.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.
