Registered Nurse - Director of Surgical Services

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates surgical patient care efficiently.
• Captures and analyzes data using data analytics and informatics.
• Coordinates daily operations of Surgical Services Areas to ensure high-quality care.
• Organizes services, maintains quality and safety standards, develops policies, and participates in budget planning.
• Safeguards perioperative care, manages patient equipment, and operates various systems like Meditech and Omnicell.
• Supports a diverse patient population, able to work long hours, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 250 lbs with assistance.
• Ensures cost-effective operations, staff coordination, and professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Contributes to process improvement, compliance with standards, and effective communication across departments.

Requirements

• Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program.
• Tennessee licensure.
• Three years of surgical experience in an acute care setting.
• Must have or obtain MHA/MBA within three years.
• Experience in data analytics and informatics is essential.
• Demonstrates leadership, positive communication, and flexibility.
• Certification in specialty areas must be achieved within policy timelines.
