About the role
We are seeking an experienced Dialysis RN to provide high-quality care to patients receiving dialysis treatments. The selected candidate will be responsible for direct patient care, medication administration, patient assessments, and supporting the dialysis team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses throughout treatment.
- Provide safe and effective dialysis nursing care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dialysis technicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis treatments, medications, and disease management.
- Support clinic operations and maintain compliance with infection prevention and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Dialysis RN experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a busy outpatient dialysis environment.
- Candidate should be comfortable caring for up to 36 patients per day as part of the clinical team.
Assignment Details
- The RN is expected to perform nursing assignments, including patient assessments, medication administration, and, when necessary, assist with technician-related responsibilities.
