About the role
Providing direct patient care in complex assessments and interventions for a PRN Dialysis Float role.
Responsibilities
- Supervise support staff and assess patient needs for dialysis treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage machine maintenance, water testing, and infection control measures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of dialysis procedures, medications, and access care.
- Provide patient education tailored to medical conditions and assist in staff development.
- Ensure safety and perform other clinical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
- Minimum one year of RN experience.
- Current RN license in Missouri or a compact state, BLS certification.
Skills
- Strong communication and clinical competence.
- Infection control knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements.
- Frequent use of vision, hearing, and smell for clinical assessments.
