Registered Nurse - Daniel Island Primary Care - MUSCP

About the role

Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care using the nursing process and focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
• Demonstrates the ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model.
• Identifies clinical priorities and initiates action to improve patient outcomes.
• Coordinates the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through the application of care management principles.

Requirements

• RN I: Associate's Degree required. Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• RN II: Associate's Degree, and a minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required. Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Qualifications

• Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting.
• Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions.
• Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
• Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.
• Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36” to overhead 25 lbs.
• Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
