About the Role

The Crisis Nurse provides services to persons experiencing crisis and in need of immediate intervention. This position's responsibilities span three programs: Walk-In Crisis Unit, Central Recovery Center (CRC), and Adult Diversion and Stabilization (A-DAS). By assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care tailored to each patient's unique needs, you will contribute to the stabilization and recovery of those in crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Completes medical triage and assessment
  • Case Management
  • Medication administration including the administration of long-acting injection medications
  • Distinguishes between emergent/urgent needs and ongoing clinical work
  • Medication Reconciliation with physicians and pharmacists
  • Completes documentation in electronic medical records and utilization of varied electronic portals as needed
  • Scheduling and tracking consumer appointments
  • Provides medication education

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing AND a minimum of one (1) year of paid behavioral health care experience OR a Registered Nurse AND a minimum of two (2) years of paid behavioral health care experience
  • Current RN License from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Pre-employment physical/TB screening
  • Pre-employment drug screening, Act 33/34/73 clearances

Schedule

This is a full-time non-exempt position (37.5 hours/week) with the following shift:

  • Saturday 6:30am to 7:00pm with 2 floating days
