Registered Nurse - Correctional - $2,090 per week

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse for a correctional facility in Des Moines, Washington.

About the role

This government-contract position supports adult male and female inmates in a prison setting. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, physicians, and mental health staff, to ensure compliance with facility policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult male and female inmates.
• Document patient progress using Cor EMR system (version 6) or Wellpaths (version 5).
• Monitor daily intake of approximately 25 patients with an average length of stay of 6 days.
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, physicians, mental health staff, and other resources.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety procedures during all nursing activities.

Requirements

• No new graduates; corrections experience is required.
• 2 years of experience in the last 5 years, 1 year of experience in the last 3 years, or current experience within the last year.
• Valid driver’s license (DL) and Social Security Card (SSC) required.
• Completion of MEDIKO agency form.
• No return-to-office (RTO) absences exceeding 3 days permitted.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 18:00 – 06:30.
• 36 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Pay

Pay range: $2,211.65 – $2,322.23 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week).
