Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit mental health and substance use services provider, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Marion, Ohio location. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health and substance use disorders (SUD) and eager to work within a comprehensive system of care alongside engaged community partners.
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) will be detail-oriented, collaborating with psychiatrists, triaging phone calls, monitoring medication, and applying strong assessment skills to problem-solve and secure medications. You will work as part of a team to promote health and eliminate barriers to care for both psychiatric and physical health needs. The role involves interacting with clients from diverse populations, including those with substance use disorders (SUD), mental health (MH), and behavioral health (BH) conditions.
Responsibilities
- Consult with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers
- Triage phone calls and assess client needs
- Monitor and manage medication administration
- Apply excellent assessment and problem-solving skills to obtain medications
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote health and remove barriers to care
- Interact with clients across various populations, including SUD, MH, and BH
Requirements
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Willingness to obtain or currently hold an NPI and Ohio Medicaid Provider number
- Experience with mental health or psychiatric nursing preferred
