About the role
The Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit accepts both male and female adolescents for assessment, evaluation, crisis intervention, and stabilization. Discharge planning focuses on transitioning patients to day hospital or outpatient care once the crisis is stabilized.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, administer, and evaluate patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
- Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
- Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
- Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
- Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
Requirements
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
- Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $37.08 minimum to $56.83 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience as a registered nurse.
