Registered Nurse Clinical Lead - Medical Surgical

About the role

The position involves coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the delivery of quality patient care in the Med‑Surg department during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts.
• Assess patient care needs, develop and distribute care assignments, and ensure population‑specific care delivery.
• Manage staffing plans, respond to patient care concerns, and facilitate resource availability.
• Set priorities based on patient and physician dynamics.
• Participate in hiring, training, staff development, and performance evaluations.
• Respond to complaints and ensure compliance with clinical objectives and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing (must be obtained prior to employment).
• BLS Provider certification within one month of hire, accepted from AHA or ARC.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience.
