Minimum Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

  • Proven Med Surg Expertise: 1+ year of experience in a Medical-Surgical environment to effectively navigate the clinical complexities of the unit.

How You’ll Make an Impact in This Role

  • Lead shift operations by strategically assigning patient loads to ensure every individual receives high-quality, attentive care tailored to their specific needs.
  • Mentor and empower nursing staff through real-time education and guidance, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and professional growth within the unit.
  • Resolve patient and family concerns with empathy and efficiency, acting as a dedicated advocate to ensure a safe, supportive, and positive healing environment.
  • Optimize unit resources and supply workflows to ensure the frontline team has exactly what they need to deliver seamless, uninterrupted bedside care.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide meaningful input on hiring and development, helping to build and sustain a high-performing medical-surgical department.
