Registered Nurse - Clinical - Hematology/Oncology

About the role

A registered nurse responsible for assessing, managing, and providing patient care during hospital stays, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments and reassessments, including admission, transfer, postoperative, and discharge needs.
• Developing and evaluating individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, tests, and protocols.
• Administering medications, monitoring IVs, and coordinating referrals and consultations.
• Providing patient and family education, discharge planning, and involving families in care decisions.
• Recognizing changes in patient conditions, implementing appropriate nursing actions, and documenting care and responses.
• Offering specialized care such as restraint management, pain control, and abuse assessment.
• Ensuring safety, infection control, and compliance with policies, including maintaining licensure and certifications.
• Delivering excellent service, effective communication, teamwork, and respecting patient dignity and privacy.
• Engaging in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Active RN license in applicable states with BLS certification.
• Proficiency in clinical skills, documentation, and effective communication.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands, work collaboratively, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and patient-centered care standards.
