Job Description
Program and certification preparation for entire Carondelet Health Network; performs project coordination. Provides leadership and coordination of program guidelines and performance improvement. Develops training/education program to ensure future staff needs and facilitate professional growth of existing staff. Coordinates programs to ensure patient quality outcomes and quality assurance is maintained. Ensures regulatory compliance; facilitates data collection and analysis; and promotes patient and physician satisfaction. Assists Director in ensuring both inter- and intra-hospital communication and collaboration. Assists in Stroke Program marketing and involvement in community events and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate, quality service and/or care for age-related needs of the population(s) served, according to the established performance standards and policies of the unit for the entire Carondelet market
- Maintains required clinical/technical knowledge and skill set to support staff within scope of practice
- Participates in the identification of learning needs, coordination of planning and implementation and compliance with monitoring of educational programs for the Chest Pain Center members, the Emergency Department staff/physicians, Emergency Medical Services personnel, Cardiology and any other areas involved in the care of the ACS patient throughout the hospital
- Facilitates the planning and implementation of annual community and outreach programs for ACS awareness and prevention promotion
- Promotes staff education to meet professional and program needs
- Responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers (patients, partners, stakeholders, payors, physicians, staff, volunteers, etc.) and provides feedback to managers/staff regarding the needs and expectations of customers and the program
- Coordinates and maintains appropriate and effective service provision in assigned area through systems knowledge
- Communicates and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable CHN/Tenet policies and procedures
- Provides direction and delegation in a positive, professional manner and ensures follow-through
- Serves as a leader in program development
- Maintains annual requirements for role and program
- Ensures program/service compliance with facility, regulatory agency, and corporate standards
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements- Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and/or accredited school of radiology and/or accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
- Experience: 2 years in cardiac catheterization and special procedures
- Licensure/Certifications: RNs must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy, ARRT, ACVT or RCIS; BLS; ACLS
- Preferred Requirements- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience: 1 year management
- Licensure/Certifications: LMRT
