The registered nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered care during hospitalization, including assessments, planning, interventions, and discharge education. They deliver age-appropriate, high-quality service, communicate effectively with patients and families, and maintain professionalism and respect among colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Ensure safety and infection control standards are met
• Provide discharge education and planning
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Maintain ongoing professional development
• Foster a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction

Requirements

• Valid RN license in applicable states
• BLS certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Occasional lifting of patients or equipment
• Prolonged standing and walking
