Registered Nurse Clinic Cardiology

About the role

Location: Milwaukee, WI. Facility: Water Tower Medical Commons. Department: Cardiology. Schedule: Full-time, day shift, 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares documentation information and transmits medical information.
• Provides non-judgmental triage and/or advice using the nursing process, specific protocols and established resources.
• Directs callers to appropriate level of care and provides healthcare advice/education using assessment skills, approved guidelines, and knowledge of self-care practices.
• Selects and delivers appropriate follow-up materials.
• Provides professional, safe and effective care-related advice to patients.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Registered Nurse license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire or transfer date, or current home state license if part of a multi-state/Compact State agreement.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required, or required professional licensure at time of hire.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior RN experience preferred.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
