Registered Nurse - CICU
About the role
Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the dynamic Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This full-time, 36-hour night-shift position offers a supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants available to assist Intensivists and Nurse Practitioners during shifts. Respiratory Therapy is also available at night.
In this hospital setting, you will be accountable for utilizing the nursing process, performing patient care, delegating tasks, and supervising other patient care staff. You will coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires proficiency in clinical practices and adherence to policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care.
- Perform and delegate patient care tasks.
- Supervise other patient care staff.
- Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
- Consult with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in clinical practices and abide by hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 1 year of applicable nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher.
