Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy Infusion Clinic

As a Chemotherapy Infusion Clinic Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in this system, focusing on personalized health plans, healing relationships, and healing environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the administration and management of various medical procedures and treatments in the infusion setting, including antineoplastic treatments, immunotherapy treatments, blood product administration, and therapeutic phlebotomy.
• Affords responsibility for the coordination of care, emphasizing patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
• Administers medications and procedures, influencing care outcomes through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Completes physiological assessments and documents in the electronic health record.
• Triage patient problems and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in evaluating symptoms and initiating interventions.

Requirements

• Basic Requirements: Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• English Language Proficiency: No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Credit for foreign nursing education higher than an associate degree requires a formal degree equivalency validation from a recognized body like ICD.
• Exception: Candidates without required licensure may be appointed as a Nurse Technician (GNT) on a 120-day temporary appointment while pursuing licensure (up to two years).

Qualifications

• Nurse I - Level I: Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, no additional professional nursing required.
• Nurse I - Level II: ADN or Diploma in Nursing and 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 1; or BSN with no additional professional nursing experience.
• Nurse I - Level III: ADN or Diploma in Nursing and 2 years of professional nursing experience, one year equivalent to Nurse I - Level 2; or BSN and 1 year of professional nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 2; or MSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 3; or Doctoral degree in Nursing with no professional nursing experience.
• Nurse II: BSN with 2 years of professional nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 3; or MSN with 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 3; or MSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 3; or Doctoral degree in Nursing with 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 3; or Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I - Level 3.
• Nurse III: MSN and 2 years of specialized nursing experience, one of which is equivalent to Nurse II and meets all dimension requirements for Nurse III; or MSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse II and meets all dimension requirements for Nurse III; or Doctoral degree in Nursing with 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse II and meets all dimension requirements for Nurse III; or Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse II and meets all dimension requirements for Nurse III.
