Registered Nurse - Cardiac Testing - Days

Employment Type: Part-time, 24 hours per week

About the role

The primary objective of this position is to provide quality care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs, readiness to learn, and identify actual or potential barriers to learning, incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural, and spiritual values.
• Document admission assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions, and medication use, monitoring effects and outcomes according to policy.
• Utilize the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patients' conditions to all appropriate individuals.
• Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations.
• Communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds.
• Recognize and integrate patient special needs, individualizing care, and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral.
• Include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care and promote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Required experience with the following:

• TEE/Cardioversion
• Cardiac Stress Testing
• Tilt Table Test
• Lexiscan
• Bubble Studies
• CTA and Full Complement of Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing

Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts (shift times may vary, usually around 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
