About the role
The primary objective of this position is to provide quality care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assess learning needs, readiness to learn, and identify actual or potential barriers to learning, incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural, and spiritual values.
- Document admission assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions, and medication use, monitoring effects and outcomes according to policy.
- Utilize the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patients' conditions to all appropriate individuals.
- Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations.
- Communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds.
- Recognize and integrate patient special needs, individualizing care, and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral.
- Include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
- Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care and promote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
- PA RN License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
Experience
Required experience with the following:
- TEE/Cardioversion
- Cardiac Stress Testing
- Tilt Table Test
- Lexiscan
- Bubble Studies
- CTA and Full Complement of Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing

Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts (shift times may vary, usually around 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
