Overview

Sentara Norfolk General's Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical - Procedural IMCU. Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Days and night shift available.

Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU Overview

This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain. Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

Education

Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire. Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire

Experience
