About the Role
Provides direct patient care as a Cardiac Surgery PCU Registered Nurse, focusing on post-surgical cardiac patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Promote patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to communicate and coordinate care across the continuum.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, addressing patient preferences and barriers.
- Participate in professional development and ensure safe work practices in a safety-sensitive environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license required.
- Educational background: Nursing diploma, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: No experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, autonomous decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
