About the Role

Provides direct patient care as a Cardiac Surgery PCU Registered Nurse, focusing on post-surgical cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to communicate and coordinate care across the continuum.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, addressing patient preferences and barriers.
• Participate in professional development and ensure safe work practices in a safety-sensitive environment.

Requirements

• Active RN license required.
• Educational background: Nursing diploma, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: No experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, autonomous decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
