Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization

About the role

Cardiac Cath RN supporting diagnosis and treatment in a specialized heart institute, working alongside interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing support, patient education, and promote understanding of medical conditions.
• Assist in procedures, obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Oversee chart checks, assist providers, and collect laboratory specimens.
• Administer medications, IVs, and monitor diagnostic equipment.
• Educate patients on treatments, ensure infection control, and assist with clinic activities.
• Participate in On-Call for Level 1 Heart Attack Program, with rapid response requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in telemetry, ED, or ICU preferred but not required.
• Must have graduated from a specialty training program.
• Key Attributes: Teamwork, accountability, attention to detail, and ability to handle acute care situations.
