Job Summary

The RN is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, the role works with nursing service, ancillary services, physicians, patients, and families, collaborating across the healthcare team to ensure quality of care throughout the continuum. The position requires self‑direction, a quality focus, strong interpersonal communication, and a critical care background.

Schedule

40 hrs/week; Monday – Friday, 10‑hour shifts, 7 am – 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Cardiac and Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe, healthy environment.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Technical Capabilities

• Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Novice): Demonstrates fundamental proficiency to assess and evaluate patients in moderate‑difficulty situations, conducts primary care interviews and physical examinations, recognizes problems, and gathers pertinent clinical data for referral or treatment.
• Nursing Patient Education (Novice): Provides patient education in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Care Planning (Novice): Anticipates resource needs, identifies tasks, sets priorities, schedules activities, meets deadlines, and organizes work; handles multiple assignments simultaneously and adapts to changes with minimal disruption.
• Evidence‑Based Practice (Novice): Searches for evidence to answer clinical questions, generally working under direction while accomplishing assignments.
