Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
About the role
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate).
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization lab and Cardiology Department during all phases of the patient care experience (pre procedural, intraprocedural, and post procedural).
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Monitor patient conditions and vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in on-call and late stay shifts as required.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
- Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, with minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in critical care with demonstrated knowledge of homodynamic monitoring.
- Previous RN experience with Pre and Post Procedure Care of Adult Interventional Cardiology patients.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in nursing or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- RCIS and/or RCES certification.
Skills
Ability to provide education to patients based on plan of care, procedural guidelines, and University standards.
