About the role
Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work at the VANDERBITL BIRTH CENTER PRN, providing care to patients in a midwifery-led out-of-hospital birth center setting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
- Experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D), Mother/Baby, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or similar birth-related settings is essential.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Graduate of an approved nursing program.

- Evidence-Based Practice (Novice).

- Nursing Patient Education (Novice).
- Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Novice).
