Description
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has since expanded to operate across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care, all of which are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed.
What will you do as a Registered Nurse Behavioral Mental Health?
You will provide medical oversight, care, education, and guidance to the youth in your care. Performance will be measured by individual outcomes, achieving individual targets/goals, contributions to your program team/department, and buy-in to the organizational culture.
A typical day involves medication administration oversight, medical file record keeping, responding to client medical needs, and working directly with the psychiatrist to provide professional nursing care. This position operates on an as-needed basis, requiring a minimum of 4 shifts per month.
Starting Pay Range
$35.00-$38.00 hourly
Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in.
- Education requirement: Associates Degree in Nursing or related field.
- No minimum # of years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Requires a license as an RN in North Carolina.
