Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit

Schedule

Per Diem

Daily work times: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

No weekends, no on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Use clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
• Assess, monitor, detect, plan, and take appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications and promote optimal health.
• Integrate care within scope of practice licensure, relevant education, and experience.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based on physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment and patient/significant other’s changing needs and goals, utilizing the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the “Caring-Quality Model.”
• Demonstrate leadership through sharing knowledge, being a clinical resource, and serving as a professional role model.
• Practice effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Demonstrate enhanced time management skills and assist others to contribute to overall team performance.
• Perform other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed by general and unit-specific competency-based objectives.

Requirements

• License to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
• Competency within 6 months of hire with all age groups within the defined patient population.
• Demonstrates sensitivity when interacting with diverse ethnic groups.
• BLS certified.

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor's in Nursing.
