Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Children's Crisis Intervention Services)

Responsibilities
- Treat patients, educate them about mental and medical conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members.
- Run therapeutic groups and perform psychiatric crisis intervention, including seclusion and restraint of patients.
- Record patients' medical histories and symptoms, help perform diagnostic tests, and analyze results.
- Operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
- Teach patients and their families how to manage illness or injury, including diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
- Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team processes, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $42.00 to $52.51 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
