Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
About the role
Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks dedicated Registered Nurses to join our award-winning team. We serve the Lower Bucks County region with comprehensive medical, surgical, and emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients, educate about mental and medical conditions, provide emotional support, run therapeutic groups, and perform psychiatric crisis intervention.
- Administer treatment and medications, operate medical machinery, and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
- Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses, diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software.
