About the role
Delivers nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Develops nursing diagnoses, establishes care objectives, defines interventions, and provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Coordinates with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team.
- Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting conditions, and establishing care objectives and interventions.
- Teach patients, families, and friends about healthcare requirements, including condition management, medications, and self-care skills.
- Evaluate patient care by measuring health outcomes against standards, reviewing records, and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication procedures, and legal regulations.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Maintain patient care equipment and supplies by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, and stocking items.
- Uphold nursing competence as outlined by leadership.
Requirements
- Ability to work specified hours (Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- Visual acuity and communication skills adequate to perform position duties.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (required upon hire).
- 1-3 years of experience working in a clinical environment (preferred).
