Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including: Reviewing medical history, confirming medications, evaluating risk factors, ensuring all required testing and documentation are complete, monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs to provide optimal care and guidance, observing and interpreting patient symptoms and communicating findings to physicians/surgeons, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and surgeons to develop individualized care plans, performing routine clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, IV placement, etc.), and maintaining accurate patient documentation.
- Administer and adjust medications and treatments per physician/surgeon orders, assist surgeons during procedures as needed, provide immediate medical care during emergencies, and support patient recovery in the PACU setting.
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards (sanitizing, decontamination, preparing patient areas).
- Foster a compassionate, supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Participate in continuing education to expand clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making ability.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- A strong understanding of emergency care.
- A team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A responsible, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Requirements
- A current and active State of Arizona RN License.
- A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- ACLS and BLS Certification.
- A minimum of 1 year Operating Room experience preferred.
- An in-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines (sanitation, decontamination, etc.).
- A commitment to following HIPAA Privacy Rules at all times.
