Key Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care for patients undergoing eye procedures.
• Maintains vigilance over patients' vital signs and responds promptly to any changes in condition.
• Administers medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
• Provides pre- and post-operative care, including patient education and discharge instructions.
• Collaborates effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient.
• Excellent team player and effective communicator with staff, patients, and physicians.
